If ever there was a form of art deserving the term ‘erotic’—it’s the beautifully executed works by Emmegraphia. She does for erotic art what sex does for sex. While it may not be any better than other forms of we’ve posted before, this work appears more interesting and entertaining. Emmegraphia has a veritable treasure trove of erotica guaranteed to make any viewer hard or wet. And isn’t that what erotic art is all about?
Peep Show Emmegraphia
When viewing the work by Emmegraphia, I am struck by how intimate it looks. It’s almost like we are being invited to a private viewing of her own sexual desires. She is not making a specific statement or trying to prove a point. Vibrant and textured, her drawings are like an escape where we can experience a realm of unlimited sexual expression. We are free from the conventions of good or bad or right or wrong.
Probably one of the most intimate mediums of erotic art, drawings and illustrations provoke something that photography cannot. Illustrating sex through a painting or drawing requires more patience and thought. (Sorry—to all my photographer friends out there!) With Emmegraphia, her style is delicate and understated, but yet, there is great attention to detail. She captures the mood of her subjects engaging in our favorite pastime—sex. Although the frequent motif depicts female masturbation, there is plenty of drawings featuring lesbian lovers, sexual training sessions, CBT, and other themes which would outrage public decency.
Devil’s in the Details
The magic that lies within most of her work is we are left wanting to know about the people involved in each story. The devil’s in details and Emmegraphia shows off the use of penis pumps, magic wands, vibrators, and dildos, leaving us with a tinge of excitement. More than just fleeting visuals, there is a powerful pull toward the subject’s thoughts and feelings—forcing us to really take it all in and try for ourselves.
