Spotlight on Svakom: A Starstruck Review of the Pulse Galaxie Clitoral Stimulator

Hello, Liberator Lovers! It’s no secret amongst our friends that I love things that light up (and throwing things like fake snowballs, but that’s another story). Our entire home is hooked up to Alexa with smart bulbs that change colors. We even have curtain lights that we can program with graphics or text. So I got really excited when I recently gave the Svakom Pulse Galaxie a test drive and found my latest toy obsession! 

Svakom is pushing the envelope with thrilling, unique sex toys like the Nymph, Phoenix Neo 2, and Pulse Galaxie. Like a cat chasing a laser pointer, I was, of course, drawn to the Pulse Galaxie. You can get the sleek, ovoid design in elegant lavender or chic matte black, and it comes with a USB charging cable and a travel bag. The base stands independently, with the USB port on the back. A slight magnetic connection on the charging port keeps the two pieces connected when you’re traveling or letting it recharge. 

Pulse Galaxie is a clitoral suction toy (I love, love, love this category of sex toys!). I eagerly anticipated trying it and was so hopeful about the experience. Having tested it several times, I get more impressed with each orgasm. At first, using only the single button control, it felt too strong for my clit. I couldn’t quite find the right groove and never went full supernova. I was a bit bummed because it seemed too powerful. 

However, once I downloaded the app, synced it, and hit PLAY, my world opened up. I could pick the vibe pattern and slide the intensity bar higher or lower, finding my sweet spot. This is one of those toys that I can confidently say is better using the app than just a button. It’s easier to work your way up to the intense vibes and not desensitize your clit with too much sensation. (You can also control the starlight projector from the app!)

When I’m playing solo, I love a toy that gets you to the moon quickly. Pulse Galaxie delivers the power for quickies, but can also be dialed back for a slow burn. I haven’t tried all the modes yet (keep reading for everything that Pulse Galaxie offers), but I’m blown away with what I’ve felt so far! To Orgasm and Beyond!

As mentioned before, there are 3 star projection modes. The purple starlights are brilliant and magical! They spread out over a dark room and create a mesmerizing cosmos. How functional is the app? It’s effortless to download, plus easy and intuitive to use! (I don’t know about you, but I gotta have a simple app when I want to get off.)

How do I get started?

First, download the Svakom App to your phone. Long press the single power button on the toy to turn it on. You’ll know because it’ll buzz for a second. Bluetooth will connect it to your phone.

Hit PLAY (This only appears when the app is synced. It’s one of six selections on the main screen). Once you enter PLAY, you’ll find six modes: Touch, Preset, Custom, Music, Sound, and Remote. 

Touch Mode gives you a screen where you can use your finger to draw the mode and intensity on the screen (this reminds me of calculus and trig, but don’t worry, no math is required!). 

Preset Mode offers you a selection of patterns and an intensity slider bar. I actually prefer working through the different Preset modes and intensities on the app. Galaxie has 11 preset modes, with a slider to dial the intensity up or down, plus a play/pause button for the suction. When you enter Preset Mode, the projector also has a brightness slider and three light settings: steady, blinking, and breathing (soothing pulses). 

Custom Mode allows you to take the preset modes and alter their intensity to create personalized patterns and save them. Will I ever create a custom pattern? Who knows, but I have the option!

Does music mode work? Yes, there are three preloaded music selections from Svakom. That’s it. However, it's not as robust as I'd like. I wanted to try loading my tunes, but the website link does not work. Even if it did work, you’d have to be loading MP3s, which is illogical because everyone uses streaming platforms now. I’m guessing this feature was added early in development and then forgotten. I don’t mind, but some other reviews I’ve read online expressed their frustration about it. I think it’s a very minor shortcoming. 

Sound Mode allows ambient noise to drive the vibrations, like jackhammers, thunderstorms, or cicadas. It’s a little tough to gauge just how well this one will work since the microphone is your phone. I wanted to give this a whirl to the tune of millions of cicadas (wouldn’t that be cool!?!), but we aren’t experiencing hordes of them like I hoped. 

This is for long-distance playtime. You can create your virtual room and invite other Svakom users to join you. It’s not a function I’ll likely ever use, but it’s yet another enticing feature.  

Does it stay connected to Bluetooth? Yes. I haven’t had any problems with connectivity. That was a complaint in some old reviews, but I think the technology has improved. Glitchy apps are a peeve of mine so I’d be bitching about this toy if it had app issues.

Simple as Pie. Hold down the button until it buzzes briefly to turn on the toy. Countdown…3…2…1…ready for blast off! If you have already paired it with the app, you’ll be ready to play immediately. The single-play button is great if you don’t have your phone handy, but I highly recommend the app. I tried cycling through the modes, but couldn’t figure out how to get back to the one I preferred without going through everything again. Such a waste of precious clit vibing time! 

The battery display is subtle but directly on the front of the toy. The battery indicator lights flash while charging. When all four lights are lit, it’s fully charged. I just noticed that the battery life is also displayed in the top right-hand corner of the Play page in the app! I especially like this feature because it takes the guesswork out of how long the toy might last. There have been so many times when I retrieved a favorite toy from my nightstand with no clue about how much juice was left in the tank.

Pulse Galaxie is the perfect toy to take on vacation because it’s rechargeable, compact, has a travel lock, an ambient light show, and a travel bag. It fits in your luggage, stays ready for action, sets the mood, and keeps things discreet and tidy. TSA won’t even bat an eyelash. 

So, what do I think of the Pulse Galaxie? Will I continue using it to explore the cosmos (my clit)? Will I take it on adventures? Yeah, definitely! It’s a WINNER! With a discreet, elegant design, so much functionality, portability, great features, a user-friendly app, easy charging, AND a fantastic light show, it is a stellar sex toy that has it all.
