Bondage doesn't have to be intimidating. At its heart, restraint is about trust, surrender, and heightening the intimacy between partners. With help from Liberator Bondage pillows and furniture, the world of playful restraint becomes not only more approachable, but more comfortable, stylish, and endlessly versatile. Curious about trying bondage for the first time? Or maybe you're looking to bring a new layer of passion into the bedroom? Either way, this guide walks you through the essentials, so snap in and buckle up.

Start with Trust
Before any straps are clipped or cuffs buckled, the first step is communication. Discuss what excites you, set clear boundaries, and establish a safe word. Bondage is about creating a space where both partners feel safe nough to explore vulnerability and pleasure together.
What Makes LIBERATOR Bondage Gear Different
Liberator bondage furniture and pillows are designed to blend luxury with function. You may be familiar with our reliable, tried-and-true positioning aids. Their bondage-compatible versions include things like discreetly-placed D-rings, Velcro-like anchor points, tethers, and other adaptable gear that allows for secure, customizable restraint. These Bondage pieces include all of the style and comfort that sex enthusiasts have come to rely on LIBERATOR for, plus more options for those looking to dabble in restraint, BDSM, and kink.
Beginner-Friendly Options: Bondage Pillows
If you're new to restraint play, start simple with Bondage Pillows. Fan favorites include the Bondage Wedge, Bondage Ramp, and Bondage Wedge Ramp Combo for the best of both worlds.
These sex pillows are similar to their original counterparts. However, they include reinforced sides that provide extra strength and stability. Built-in anchor points feature side-release buckles for seamless use with Liberator cuff kits. The Bondage Wedge, a relatively smaller shape, includes one set of anchor points on either side, but includes a set of 6 cuff connectors for customizeable play. Whether you use cuffs with side-release buckles or bolt snaps, you'll have everything you need (sans the cuffs) to get started.
Larger shapes like the Ramp, Steed, or Hipster have multiple anchor points so the cuffs can be added to suit whatever position the night puts you in. Explore, feel it out, and find what positions and level of restraint you like best. Settle into the supportive comfort of bondage pillows and surrender to complete vulnerability and build anticipation.
Going Deeper with Bondage Furniture
Designed for deeper play, bondage furniture creates ergonomic positioning while offering multiple restraint points and full-body support, ideal for those ready to experiment fully or invest in bigger pieces. Bondage furniture designs have two restraint-ready versions: a standard Bondage option, and a Premium SynLeather option.
Standard Bondage, such as the Bondage Cello or Bondage Esse & Esse Slim, have removable, machine-washable covers. Velcro-like hook and loop attachments connect anywhere along the reinforced sides to adapt to your position of choice. Adjustable 42" tethers or cuff connectors snap easily into these attachments and are compatible with Liberator cuff kits.
For Premium SynLeather editions or any furniture piece on wooden feet, such as the Esse II or Esse II Slim, Divan Daybed, and Premium Faux Leather Cello, wooden feet screw into the chaise's base. Discreet foot adapters fit over the screw and go between the base and the foot with clips that connect to tethers. Otherwise, these editions will also come with the same cuff connectors and 42" tethers as all bondage furniture.

How to Enjoy Your Bondage Gear
- Ease Into It – Start with a simple position, like lying back on a Ramp with wrists lightly secured. The restraint is gentle, the comfort undeniable.
- Mix in Sensation – Once restrained, experiment with feather ticklers, blindfolds, or gentle teasing. Without full mobility, every touch feels magnified.
- Switch Roles – Bondage doesn't always mean one person is in control. Take turns being restrained to explore both perspectives of giving and receiving.
